Timesheets

• Employee timesheets are an official legal document. It is extremely important to fill them out completely and accurately at all times.
• They are subject to inspection and audit by Department of Labor and other authorized officials.
• All time must be entered for the exact day and time an employee, including student workers, actually works.
• For supervisors of student workers, it is very important to complete the students' time sheet accurately. Careless mistakes such as entering work time for the hours a student is scheduled for class could be seen as fraud against the federal government. Make sure all time sheets are complete and accurate.
