Interviewing Basics

When arriving to a job interview, this is your chance to impress your potential employer with not only what you can do, but with who you are. This is where you want to highlight the positive aspects of your character, work ethic, and your personality. This is also your chance to demonstrate that you are enthusiastic about the job and the organization. Follow these tips to make sure you do a great job at your next interview.

• Review samples of typical interview questions. Look at sample answers and come up with your own answers to these questions.
• Come up with some questions that you may like to ask the interviewer. Having questions prepared shows your interest in the organization and the position.
• Practice interviewing with Perfect Interview or make an appointment to practice with a career advisor in the Office of Career Management.
