Work-StudyWork-Study is a program that allows students to work on campus while taking classes. To qualify, students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at Clark State. Work-Study positions are not guaranteed to all students, but all students have the opportunity to apply as long as they meet the requirements for positions. There are two types of work-study positions: College Work-Study and Federal Work-Study. Any student is eligible to participate in the College Work-Study Program as long as they are enrolled in at least six credit hours. Students must meet financial eligibility requirements to qualify for the Federal Work-Study program. Financial need is determined by the Financial Aid Office by information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Positions are competitive, so do your best to be thorough on your application, especially regarding your skills and how you can be helpful and effective in the position that you are seeking. Once an application is submitted, it will be forwarded to the hiring supervisors. The top applicants will be contacted to arrange an interview. Remaining applications will be kept on file in the Career Management Office for consideration in other positions. If you are not contacted about a Work-Study position, consider meeting with the Office of Career Management for help finding a part-time job off campus.
