Work-Study for Faculty & Staff

Work-Study

How it Works

If you are interested in hiring a work-study student for your department, please complete a Job Description and return it to the Office of Career Management. We will announce the position to students and send you applications via e-mail approximately once per week until your position is filled. You may conduct interviews of students that interest you and send the selected student the the Financial Aid Office to complete the required paperwork. Please notify Career Management of the name of the student you hire so that their name may be taken from the eligible student list.

Guidelines

Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours to be eligible for the Work-Study program. Students must also meet financial need requirements to be eligible for Federal Work-Study. Work-Study students may only work up to 18 hours per week when classes are in session. During break periods (such as Winter Break), students may be permitted to work up to 40 hours per week.
